Rubicon Science is pleased to offer Knauer’s wide range of German-designed and manufactured high-pressure dosing pumps. They are highly accurate two-piston pumps for applications in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries as well as in research and method development. They pump and dose aqueous and organic liquids, aggressive media, or liquid gases. The metering pumps have high chemical resistance, excellent flow rate precision, and low pulsation of the pumped medium in a wide range of applications:
- Flow rates from 0.01 ml/min to 1,000 ml/min
- High pressure range up to 1000 bar
- Wide temperature range from -10 °C to 120 °C
- Viscous liquids up to 1,000 mPa-s
The types of dosing pumps available are listed below. Alternatively, if you have a specific application CONTACT US and let us know what you would like to do and we will recommend the best pump(s) for your application.

BlueShadow Pump 40P series
The BlueShadow Pump 40P was designed to provide exceptionally precise and reliable solvent delivery for a wide range of HPLC and dosing applications. Exchangeable pump heads with maximum flow rates of 10 and 50 ml/min cover a wide range of high-pressure dosing tasks. Practically pulse-free flow is achieved by our enhanced smart drive control which actively prevents pressure ripple instead of just dampening it. The improved design ensures a low dead volume and the inline filter protects your column from clogging and pressure build-up.
- 10 ml/min and 50 ml/min pump heads
- Integrated pressure sensor & filter
- Stainless steel and ceramic heads.
- Active pulsation compensation.
- RFID for automatic pump head detection.
- Optional HT version up to 120°C.
BlueShadow Pump 80P series
The BlueShadow preparative pump 80P delivers stable and precise solvent flow for semi-preparative as well as preparative HPLC applications. By adding one or more additional pumps, binary, ternary, or even quaternary high-pressure gradient systems can be easily configured. The pump can also be equipped with a binary or ternary gradient valve block to configure cost-effective low-pressure gradient systems. Exchangeable pump heads for flow rates up to 1,000 ml/min and pressures up to 40 MPa make it possible to easily optimize the pump to change performance requirements and allow simple maintenance. Available in stainless steel or biocompatible titanium versions, the pump heads enable a wide range of applications.
- 100, 250, 500, and 1000 ml/min pump heads
- Integrated pressure sensor & filter
- Stainless steel and titanium heads.
- Active pulsation compensation.
- RFID for automatic pump head detection.
- Binary or ternary LPG block option.
High Pressure Gradient (HPG) and Low-Pressure Gradient (LPG) Dosing Pumps
The analytical pump AZURA P 6.1L combines all essential components of a first-class HPLC pumping system.
Three different configurations are available: A 2 × 2 binary high-pressure gradient (HPG) for high accuracy blending of up to two eluents from two selectable solvents each; a low-pressure gradient (LPG) for reliable blending of up to four eluents and a very cost-effective isocratic version for easy analyses. Choose between pump heads with a maximum flow rate of 10 ml/min and 862 bar backpressure, or pump heads with a flow rate of 5 ml/min and 1000 bar backpressure.
High-Pressure Pneumatic Pump 1950
The Smartline Pneumatic Pump 1950, powered by compressed air, has been designed for solvent delivery in process chemistry, column packing, or preparative chromatography.
Application areas:
- packing of HPLC columns at pressures up to 160 bar
- delivery of supercritical fluids such as CO2 (with mounted pump head cooling device)
- metering against constant pressure
The delivery flow rate depends on the compressed air supply and the back pressure of the column or system. Maximum delivery flow rate can be reached at minimum liquid pressure (below 1 bar). The minimum liquid flow rate (approx. 5 ml/min) is achieved at the highest back pressure. The Smartline Pneumatic Pump 1950 (A50781) has a 1000 ml stainless steel pump head and can be operated at a maximal 160 bar back pressure for solvent delivery.
